My name is Ingrid and we are located in Eastern Washington.
Growing up I was obsessed with huskies and my dream was to become a musher and have a pack of alaskan huskies and race in the Iditarod. Needless to say plans change and I would like to say I downsized a bit. When I was fostering Tomi I was looking into training facilities as I thought working around people and other dogs would be beneficial for her as she had a ton of behavioral issues and was not a fan of humans. We discovered Lilac City Dog Training Club and got introduced to Rally and ended up falling down the dog sports rabbit hole and I am now fully addicted and agility is now my biggest passion. Training and competing with Klee Kai is its own challenge at times but at this point I just want to prove that we can keep up with the more traditional herding breeds that compete in sports and I couldn't imagine a different breed at the end of the leash. I am a member of our breed club and local AKC and UKC training clubs : AKKAOA(Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America), AKKCOA(Alaskan Klee Kai Club of America) , LCDTC(Lilac City Dog Training Club), SDTC(Spokane Dog Training Club) and SAC(Spokane Agility Club)
The Kennel name started out as Zephyr Kennels which was named in honor of my first Klee Kai Zephyr. But it never quite felt right. With alot of brainstorming with friends we came up with Quest Alaskan Klee Kai. The name Quest was chosen as I am always on a Quest for something. A Quest for Tacos, A Quest to become a better trainer, A Quest to be a better handler, A Quest to gain knowledge and better under understand structure, movement, training and whelping.
